Privacy

BlackhawkHub is a static website. There are no user accounts, no comment system and no advertising network.

What the site collects

  • Server logs. The hosting provider records standard web-server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) for security and capacity purposes, as almost all web hosts do. BlackhawkHub does not use these logs to build profiles.
  • Analytics. No analytics script is loaded at the time of writing. If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is added later, this page will be updated first.
  • Cookies. The site sets no cookies.

Browser-side tools

Calculators, converters, encoders and hash generators on the tools pages run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The values you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to BlackhawkHub's servers. Reloading the page clears them.

One exception is labelled on its page: the DNS Lookup tool must ask a DNS resolver to answer your query. It sends the domain name you type to a public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1). That resolver's own privacy policy applies to that request. No other tool contacts an external service.

Site search runs in your browser against a static index file. Your search terms are not sent to a server, apart from appearing in the page URL when you open the search results page.

Records link to external documentation (Microsoft Learn, IANA, RFC Editor, MDN and others). Those sites have their own privacy practices.
